I was given some LR but it is covered in green algae. How do I clean it? It has some xenia and other corals on it as well.

I had good luck with some big fat turbo snails,they plowed though the stuff.worked for me .

I would just scrub it off with a tooth brush, If it is Hair algae I would get it off before it goes in your tank. That crap spread all over the place.

Drip Kalk. The halk wll use up the available CO2 and starve the green algae, it will be replaced with coraline.

1) Scrub with a toothbrush
2) Let some herbivores eat it once it's 'shortend' from the brushing
3) Run Phosban to starve it.

This sounds great. Could you explain drip Kalk to me. Is it a chemical? Do I drip it in? this is the first I have heard about it.

DIY Kalk Dripper

Kalk is short for Kalkwasser or calcium water. It is fresh water that is fortified with lime. I use pickling line but you can buy kalk from your LFS.
