Hey guys. So I'm in the process of getting equipment together to start a 120 gallon. I'm wondering how much water flow I need in my display tank. I'd like to focus on LPS and softies. Right now I have a Mag 9.5 return and a tunze 6091 wavebox for flow. Do I need other circulation pumps in the display tank?

You will need a couple powerheads in the front and probably one behind rock work..

I would see about a pair of wp25s they have a single controller to sync the 2 power heads.

I like the idea of the mp25s. Those plus the wave box will push a lot of water. Wave box is about 1500 g/h and wp25s max out around 2000 g/h. How do I know when I hit the point of "too much"? Just watch how the livestock responds?

absolutely.. your corals will tell you when they are happy. you will not be disappointed with the 2- wp25's btw.. I got a pair on ebay for 130 shipped and my corals are loving them.. they love the pulse mode

I have a wp25 and 40 in my 120. Corals love it, just get them positioned and dialed in good. These pumps are definitely powerful!
