Is it okay to use clay bricks in a reef tank?

Looking for a quick way to raise my skimmer stand, so I was thinking about using a couple bricks. Do you think they would leach anything into the water?

Thanks for the advice:)

I was told I could use a clay pot or like the clay drain saucer to raise mine. I used it in my 90 with no issues.

Eggcrate w/ PVC legs?
This worked for me too! Another inert option is to use a tupperware container with some holes drilled in it. In my opinion there is just too much risk with the bricks. At the very least I would place them in a bucket of heated circulating saltwater for a couple weeks and test the water very carefully. Even then I would drop a hermit or something in for a week just to make sure.
