Hello everyone,
I would like to share my experience with you. My Aquarium has been up and running since April 18, 2012. It's 125g 72x18x22 (Made by Perfecto). The stand is made of Maple wood 72x22x32. This is my second one, since my first one was only 65g and I had alot of problems with it because it wasn't really a reef tank. It was made for fresh water fish and I didn't know that until later. Anyway, I decided to upgrade and start it the right way. Here is a link of the first video that I took after 12 hours running.

I hope you liked it. Comments are greatly appreciated. More is coming soon

Very nice...I can't wait to see your updates as you progress. Maybe you can inspire me as I get more into this myself.
Thanks for the support guys. Ok, last time I didn't have time to tell you what I used so here you go. Aqueon Pro Flex sump model 4, Fluval digital screen 300W heater, Super Reef Octupus XP111sss (125g), Waveline DC5000 return water pump with 6 variable speed and feed mode option (1320gph), 3 Radion XR 30W, 1 MP40ES W, and finally Smart UV Sterilizer. My live rock was fully cured when I purchased it, and on top of that I cured it for another 12 days while I was waiting for some of the stuff. I started on April 17, 2012 and withen less than a month my tank was cycled and all the parameters were perfect. PH 8.2, Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 0.5, Cal. 420, Alk. 11, Phosphate 0.05. Now, since I'm one of those impatient people, as soon as my tank cycled, I started buying fish, and I have to confess that I bought a couple of fishes that I shouldn't, but as I said I'm impatien person and because of that I made this mistake. Well I think it's enought for today and let's watch the second video after one month running. I hope you'll like it, and I'll be waiting for your comments. Thanks again guys

Your tank is looking pretty nice. Good luck with the Mimic tang!
Very nice, Johnny!

You have a very nice set up. Do you have any plans for coral placement?

Warmest Regards,
James
Thanks alot. The reason why it looks very nice is because of you guys here in Michiganreefers.com helping me everytime I have a problem. Otherwise, I wouldn't done all this by my self. Especially the two people who have been helping me alot and they're always there when I need their help, David from Kee's Pets LFS, and CUNAReefer. I thank them and you guys very much for your help and support.
James,
Thank you very much brother. This tank wouldn't be this nice without your help. With the information that you provided for me lately, and especially three or four weeks ago, this tank wouldn't be this nice. I really appreciate all the help and support brother. Regarding coral placement plan, I apsolutely do, but I Just want to go a little slowly with it so I can learn more and to be good and able with solving minor problems. Otherwise, I will mess everything up. Thanks again brother for all the support, You're the best

I break rules and rush into things too, so I guess that means I cannot scold anyone else for doing the same... Things are looking good so far, hope they continue down that path. Keep sharing, and keep an eye on that wrasse I saw hims looking up recipes for those shrimp...
Lol, that's a good one man! Well, the wrasse is my favorite. So far, he did only one bad thing. You may want toknow what was it right? Well, a moth ago, I bought 10 Nassarius snails. I finished the aclimation and started adding them to the aquarium, and this guy just wen crazy man!!!! He started getting them from their long tube and toss them like a soccer ball. He killed six of them at that night, and the other four were a little smart they hid in the sand. Now I see them every day come out only when the lights are off

Your very welcome, Johnny! I sincerely appreciate your kind words. This tank will be magazine quality with your continued efforts and some time.

Warmest Regards,
James
Johnny, the tank looks great so far! How is the Potter's Angel doing? I'll stay tuned to see what you do with corals as well.

Well, the Potter's angel was one of the couple of fishes that I shouldn't have bought at that time, and also, one of the couple of mistakes:secret:. So, what happned was that I went to the LFS and I saw it infront of me, and You know how some times when you see something really nice and you're like I'll get it no matter what happens. I got it, and it staid in my tank for 24 days with no food! I tried every thing to entice it to eat, and unfortunately, no luck. I guess sometimes I like to learn my lessons in a hard way. Corals, that's something that I'm so exited to start with, but as I mentioned above, I would wait a little more just to learn more how to control minor issues. Right now, I have a Green star polyp, and a Rose bubble tip anemone that purchase just for the reason of having a mated pair Maroon clowns. You will see it in the next video that I'll post, and hope that you'll like it. Thank fyou very much for your support, I really appreciate it.

Tanks. I really appreciate it.
Ok, Here is some more updates.

After I completed my aquarium and started adding fish, I noticed that the fish are swimming only on one side where the MP40 was installed and you can notice that in my latest video. The other side was almost completely dead. I tried to see what the problem is so the first thing I did was that since I see them always swimming under the MP 40, I removed the MP 40 to the other side, and guess what? They moved too! They started swimming on the other side where the MP 40 is. That's why I decided to get another MP 40. You may say the MP 40s are good for up to 500g tanks. I agree, but in my case, probabley not. So, I bought it, and installed it. Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig different my friends!!! Any way, I think this is enough for today, and let's watch this video that I caught. It's one of my Blood red fire shrimp cleanning a Bartlett's anthias. I hope you'll like it.
Update

Here is the last video that I took five days ago. This one is with the RBTA that I got for the mated pair maroon clowns. Oh man!!! The female maroon got so happy when I added it to the tank, even the male got happy but not like the female. After one day from placing the RBTA, I woke up in the morning and saw the RBTA has moved to the back, and I was really mad. I started moving him to the front and oh my God!!! The female Maroon started attacking my fingers while I was removing it from the Live rock. It's was so nice to see something like this. Ok, here is the video, and hope that you'll like it.
Looking good, Johnny! Your RBTA may move around to find the perfect spot in the tank. I had a Tomatto Clown several years ago that would bite me whenever I placed my hand in the tank. Once I took my hand out, he would shake his tale quickly and stir up sand into the water column. He showed me who was boss! He later went to a new home dedicated to him and his anemone.

He did exactly the same, shake his tale quickly and stir up sand into the water column after I took my hand out of the water! He did it after he chased the Melanurus Wrasse once. Also, the first time I was feeding the RBTA with the Turkey Baster, he put his mouth infront of the Turkey Baster and started swimming and pushing the Turkey Baster up and away from The RBTA! The first time I saw him doing that I got scared, and thought that something is wrong with him. That's just amazing isn't it?

Gotta love the fish with personalities!
