Home depot is where I got some last time I tried. I went to the plumbing section, they had a ton. All it depends on is how rigid you want it.

Yes, Home Depot has both 1" clear vinyl tubing as well as 1" flexible PVC tubing which is a bit more rigid than the vinyl. If you want something very soft and flexible, ACO/ACE hardware has some 1" vinyl tubing that has a thinner wall than the stuff sold at Home Depot. As carribeanguy stated, it really depends on what kind of flexibility you are looking for.

What ever you do, make sure to use your hose clamps!!! Either stainless steel worm (outside of water) or nylon (underwater). Don't do what I did and say "The hose barbs will hold"; they won't!! Don't put water on the floor as I did.[-banghead]

Just a little suggestion.[D]

I actually ran mine without clamps for about 1 month and then it happened, water every where, so heed Hjmtv's warning in is not unfounded, get those clamps.

What a coincidence! This happened to me today as I was cleaning the tank. i'm on my way now to Home Depot to by those clamps. Fortunately i was right there so that I could pull the plug behind the tank. I had to vacuum up about 2 gallons of water. I also have to do soemthing about my power strip placement. When I reached in to try to put the hose back on, I received an electric shock.

Hopefully everything will be back to normal tonight.
