I'm trying to figure out a good way to light the back of my nano so I can set up a bit of a fuge (correct term?) using some chaeto I got from Monkey.

I have a 3W led but it's not going to fit properly without risking it falling in the water.

I'm thinking some kind of LED I can put on a timer with the moonlight at night that lights the back compartment. I can put the LED strip inside the clear plastic cover for the regular lights, possibly screwed into the hood to avoid it resting directly on the splash cover.

But I'm not sure where to buy one or a safe way to rig it to a standard wall plug.

Any suggestions?

Here's a pic of what I'm working with.

I'm wondering about trying these. Trying to figure out what color would be best - red and yellow maybe? - for growing macro algae, specifically chaeto.

We'll see how this works. I ordered the eBay fixture. Works well. Cord is a little short. I'm happy with it for $9 shipped. Assuming it lasts OK.
