How about we start a list of all of the local reef and fish stores around lower Michigan. Then we can leave feedback for each one and have a nice list for those of us, like me, who are not familiar with most of the stores.

Ok, most everyone knows of Pruess' Animal House in Haslet near East Lansing.

The Fish Tank - corner of Ford & Wayne - good selection if you go in on shipping day. Prices are reasonable.

The Fish Doctors - corner of Lilley & Joy - lots of selection but little creature comforts (no carpet and the like) good prices.

House of Pets - corner of Ford & Middlebelt - great selection but customer service is poor. There happy to sell you the wrong stuff. [B)]

can't remeber name - on Inkster between Ford & Cherry Hill - small but great sps selections. prices a little high.

can't remember name - on Telegraph just north of 94. Huge selection of fish but prices are $$$$$.

Think that covers most of Wayne/Westland & surronding area.

pet provisions at m-59 and old us-23 highland, and grand river just west of latson rd. behind arby's in howell. jan's for aquariums (there the cheapest around) telegraph south of michagan ave.

Will, how do you like Pet Provisions in Howell? Do they have much selection of coral, fish and inverts?

its ok. they have some nice stuff but its a bit over priced. the staff dosent know their azz from a hole in the ground but its worth a look. sometimes they get reallly nice stuff in. like this week they got a very nice juv. queen angel i have on hold lol.

How about after you get a list of all local stores, you could feature a different store each week in a Poll type input post. Leave it there for one week to give everyone a chance to give any input they have good or bad with witch ever store that is featured that week.[^]

I stopped by the Pet Provisions yesterday, it was my second time there, I was there about a year ago and wasn't to impressed with it, but I think it was a fairly new store at the time. So I thought I would check it out again. The store seems nice but their saltwater livestock is not very impressive. They have a nice tank set-up, but don't really utilize it much. They don't seem to carry any SPS, and what they had wasn't that great. It could be I visited when their stock was down and maybe they were waiting for a shipment. I'm just not impreesed with the place. I will try there again someday, cause I know you can't judge a store by just one visit.
