How much lighting do you tink I will need to keep sea grass bed alive in a 55-gal tank? Would No lighting do it or should I go for MH. I already have a 150 reef and looking to start this down stairs and adventually hook the two together.
This would have to be a educated guess for me, I would think it would do best on lower light, like what macro algae does best in, im talking a couple watts a gallon. Not to sure though...
Are you talking about getting some turtle grass?
Here is a good link http//www.reefs.org/library/article/e_borneman5.html
I have some in my fuge about 5 plant they are turtlegrass (Thallasia) They grow pretty good you need a good established sand bed also I have a 400w 65k MH over them and they do great
You can get some at a few places
