I am thinking about buying an MP40 in the next month or two as a retirement gift to myself. I have a question for current owners, after watching the videos on youtube etc.., is there a problem with water splashing over the rim of the tank?

It can happen, but if you use the controller you can prevent this from happening. I don't have one currently buyI have played with them at the LPS

You can set the speed of the pump and the position of the pump in the tank to dial in the wave. It is very touchy and takes a little while to perfect.

My wave stays the same height within a fraction of an inch. Could it be a problem during intitial setup? (Possibly) Will it be a problem after dialed in? (Not in my case).

Good luck!

I own two of them and have no problems with splashing. There are modes that create big waves and modes that do not. I have a 225g so maybe its size helps also.

You will absolutely love it, make sure you get the ES model. Oh, and they really do work better as a pair ($ i know).
