Well I'm in a little bit of a bind. I am currently running an 46 gallon bow front mixed reef. I have only one mp10 nor wireless and I need more flow. My buddies has 2 Mp40 he will sell me for 175. My question is should I just get the 2 mp40s? Or should I just spend an extra 65 bucks on top of the 175 and get a new mp10 so I have two mp10? But then u wouldn't be able to have them communicate with each other because my original mp10 is not wireless. I could upgrade it to wireless for 100 bucks. But them I would have almost the same amount into both mp40s. Yes 2 mp40 would be more than enough maybe to much for my tank. Idk what do you guys think I should do?

well the good thing is that they are controllable, the two mp40's would be over kill for your tank but if he is going to get you both mp40's for 175 then i would buy it in a heart beat. While the wireless function is nice to have them talk to each other, its not a necessity. I had to mp40's on a 90g tank and couldn't use them on 75% before it start blowing sand around. The upside is if you ever upgrade to a bigger tank, the mp40's will still be useful.
