The first snail is harmless, the second is a nudi.

What kind of snail is it then?
Any idea If it's a bad nudi?
Snail is a turbo. I have tons of them in my tank. Never seem to grow though.
Nudi- when in doubt, toss it out.

And there is an app for that. :p

100% NOT a turbo snail. Turbo snails are huge compared to those and look nothing like that. Its just a harmless snail. There are far more bad nudi's than good ones, If it came on a frag its probably a zoa eating nudi and you don't want them in your system.

I'm slowly trying to learn this hobby and I look up to moderators since they are more experienced. If it's not a turbo snail, then what kind of snail is it in the picture? How is it harmless without identifying it. Just saying it's harmless doesn't help me or the individual that asked the question. I believe all snails start from eggs so they must be small with they are born and grow to become huge. I agree with the nudi and we would need more information where it was found. If the nudi was on a zoanthind colony or polyp then those would not be good.
