Looks like a new store coming to FH. 12 mile and Orchard Lake, it is called "Choice Aquariums". Anyone know anything?

Heard there was one on the way from Dean/Atlantis... He knows the "architect" who designed the place...

Didn't know anything else (not even the name) at that point (two-three weeks ago)...

'Bout time something opened up on this end of the world...

Would love to hear more if anybody knows anything...

Wow, that's prime grade A realestate there. 12 mile and orchard lake has A LOT of throughput. Either that place will benifit from it by getting a lot of extra non-hobbiests, or it will be their demise because rent will be much higher there than any other LFS location in the area.

Doesn't say when it actually opens, just says October and then gives store hours. Phone is not yet connected either.

VERY cool... Considering if you live on this side of town, (i.e. west of Telegraph), you've got Petco and Petsmart... Otherwise nearest fish store is about 30 minutes away (Atlantis, Pet store @ 5/Middlebelt).

Sounds cool - just hope it's as good as Atlantis & DBR! Don't need another "fancy store with empty tanks" like AE...

No, I just thought the name might be recognized by someone in the reefing communitty. The name sounds quazi-familiar to me. If it's the same guy, I think he used to do wholesale (tropical only) out of Pontiac back in the day. An old timer.

Should be interesting. Nice location.

I wish I could coun't how many LFS if seen open and close, come and go.

If they really do what their 'About Us' page says, I will be very very excited. Their phone number still hasn't been hooked up yet. Someone in the area drive by and do some window shopping, see if they have a sign saying when they will open.

Thanks DlBerlin, I appreciate that! I actually drove by there yesterday afternoon, my wifes parents have a store out that way, anyway its all covered up like the other guy said. Love to see something new open. Where do you all live, are you guys going to the frag meet in late October?

Good to have another store in the general area! Although it's not that close to me being that they're just off 696 it wont be to bad, As long as you don't get there around rush hour!

Any up-dates on their opening date?
