New to salt, looking for a mentor/reef buddy

I have been keeping aquariums for a while now and just now decided to set up a reef tank and have just started with some simple corals, but I know that I do better with a friend or mentor to talk to about whatever issues I run into and just be someone to talk to about the hobby so my girlfriend doesn’t have to put up with me all the time lol. I’m wondering if anyone would be interested in such a thing? I would super appreciate anyone willing to help, I just want to make sure I have the best first experience possible because I think this is a super cool hobby that I’m really excited about!!!!

I can help you with whatever questions you may have.
I have 20+ years doing professional aquarium service- mostly reef aquariums.
Welcome, it’s a great hobby
Roughly where are you located in Michigan?
Keep your nitrates at 5- 10 and phosphates around .03. Alk between 8-10. Calcium around 400, but its the least critical value.

Nutrient stability is the biggest problem with younger tanks. Because beginners assault every problem with over zealous water changes they tend to disrupt nutrient levels and make things worse.

Been reefing for 30 years and set up dozens of tanks. I dont even bother with water changes as long as long as I keep phos and nitrate in that range and alk between 8-10.
