I spot feed with whatever I feed the fish that day. Polyps are really fat. I have it in a swirling current and that seemed to make a difference.

the coral was sold as sun polyp coral its bright orange with yellow tentical that mostly come out at night.the polys look like cups when its colsed....ive herd of people calling it orange cup coral too.i ve been taking it out to feed it everyother night,,i put it in a bucket of water from the tank and let some reef mix frozen cubes melt in the water ..about the time the cubes melt normally the cups or polys open and i feed each one with a 5ml srygine....so i dunno what im doing wrong....i dont think i have good enough filtration to spot feed him in the tank without causing problems.....so if anyone wants a sun polyp id be will to trade for a small frag of zos and if that dosent pan ill settle for it to have a good home with the olny charge being a trip to dearborn to come pick it upif anyone is intrested let me know ....im gonna post in the trade selling forum too . thanks everyone for the info ...but im gonna find it a home becuase it too pretty to go to waste
thanks t

There is a great series of threads on RC that deals with Sun Corals and it details the problems that people have faced. There is one lady who has brought these corals back from near death. You might want to look there before you get rid of this coral.
