Yeah its spawned before.
Usually at the same time as the carpet anemone.
We traded a huge rock covered in star polyps in for a new empty peice of live rock today that was right next to it.
I dont worry too much when they spawn-it doesnt seem to have any Ill effect on the tank except the skimmer goes a little nuts and the skimmate really stinks.

Does it ussually happen when the main lights go off? Are just the actinics on in that pic, or is that with a moon light? That's pretty neat Debbie.

They usually start just before or as soon as the halides shut off.
Those pics are taken under actinics.
It's pretty neat-they do all kinds of contortions when they are spawning-I assume to squeeze the stuff out.They appear to both be males(flower and carpet)-no visible eggs.
