I have been thinking about triggers in a reef too, but my main concern was clams. I feel this might be the animal they would go for first, but its hard to say without first hand experience with them... I have never had a pink tail before. Crosshatch I fear the same thing, however I did keep a Niger with clams before, he never picked on anything, I just kept him really well fed. GL

I had a Pink Tail Trigger 4 - 5 years - with corals and clam in my tank until I sold it - to do the SPS reef. Not to mention it was huge in size.

Never did it touch a coral or clam -it's the chance you take to own one.

However, I did feed it alot.

Good luck.......
