I need some suggestions please!

I have had a BTA and clownfish for well over a month now. The BTA was doing fine as it attached itself near the substrate and towards the back of the tank.

As of yesterday, it started walking up the rocks and now is just underneath my overflow box. When the BTA opens up to about 8", it is nearly covering my small crocea clam! [-bigmouth][-banghead][-bigeyes]

Is the clam being stung? I don't want to move the clam if I don't have to. It is attached itself to a rock. I do not see the clam closing up, but soon the BTA will block out all light getting to the clam.

I think the BTA is trying to get higher in the tank for more lighting. I'm working on getting some stronger lights now. I think time is not on my side though and I have to do something soon or the BTA might keep walking up and attach to my hammer or frogspawn because those are in the way of where it would walk to next.

I do NOT WANT the BTA to die in my tank. It will pollute the heck out of the tank since it is so BIG.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Your best bet is to shoot a power head at the bubble to make it move on it own.
Don't put it too close but enought to make it uncomfortable

Trying to get the foot loose on the bubble it hard especially if you can't move the clam

Some one here told me if all else fails try rubbing an ice cube around the foot. And then it should start releaseing, then you can peel it off. I just had to do this, this past weekend as mine was attached to a rock full of zoo's. The zoo's have a type of infection and I needed to dip them in a coral disinfectant. It worked and the BTA seems happy in it's new spot it moved a little at first but now it's settled. I was also told this stresses them so I wouldn't do it unless you have no choice.

Ok...I had to do it. I moved the clam and the rock it was attached to. So far, the anemone hasn't wondered any further. I am keeping my fingers crossed though because it will tromp on the green hammer and green frogspawn if it moves again.
