Are most power strips about the same?

I've been changing some of my older strips out. I've properly placed them on the wall, with velcro strips for easy removal. I've added plug in GFI's to some of the outlets, with different strips on different outlets. I've placed drip loops in all of my stuff.

Since I've been out buying new power strips, many are more expensive than others. Some even claim to be fire proof. Is there any truth to this?

The strips I've bought (so far) have surge protection, and (I believe) are the circut breaker type. I'd like them to be "fire safety strips" if they actually work, and are worth the extra money.

What I've been buying:
Fellowes Power distribution strip

I have one of these:

Are these any good?

And thanks.

I don't know if I would trust it. They probably use a high temp thermal breaker to cut power in the even of a fire. Problem is that if you have a short strong enough to start a fire, the thermal breaker might fuse shut anyway. A properly installed and operational GFCI is better in my mind.

Get the ADJ power centers. They are a great product.
