I know the general rule of thumb is no , but i've done it before I was wondering if anyone else has taken the plunge and to what the outcome was?

our first tank about 8 years ago came with a green spotted puffer. (converted from brackish, got it and everything with it from my hubby's sister) we never had a problem with him. as a matter of fact he just died of old age the beginning of this year. (before we brought our current tank back from the dead)he was 3 or 4 years old when we got him he never ate any thing he wasn't supposed too, never agressive etc. he was cool and i miss him

I had a spiney box fish for about a year in my 130g reef tank. he never bothered the corals. he did eat most of the little hermit crabs though. it was cool to watch him, he would just eat them and spit out pieces of the shelss. i would also feed him shrimp by hand. he would come to the top of the tank and take out of my hand. he also got stuck on the intake of a power head a few times. he would be stuck to it all puffed up until i shut it off. dumbass )
