As you can see my clownfish also like to lay in my brain coral. My question is, do yours also mouth your brain coral like they would the tenticles of an anemone? Mine do, they don't bite out chunks of it or seem to hurt it in any way but they do chew on it. It's very strange.

Hi Kelly
I have noticed the clown "mouth" the coral once in a while, but never take bites out of it. When the coral is expelling some goo from one of its mouths, the clown tries to clean up (it seems) by biting at the goo and trying to remove it.
Other than that she pretty much just wallows in the coral from time to time during the day (visits), but at night it's all hers and she lays in it and looks dead.
The brain coral is doing just fine to this day despite the clown's activities in it.

It's a 50 breeder 36Lx18wx19h. There's the 2 clowns, 1 yellow tang, 1 blue/green chromis and 3 yellow tail blue damsel fish. The corals so far are a green sinularia, mushrooms, an open brain, caulestrea, zoos, pictina, milliapora, xenia and yellow polyps.

It's actually more fun to watch then TV. I've kept fresh water fish off and on since high school. And this is by far the most interesting tank I've ever owned.

Thats great!! My maroons palyed in my brain for 3 or 4 days before they finally spotted my RBTA. I thought I would have the only brain hosted clowns, but I wasn't alone:D

strange homes

That happened to me in the last month as well. I bought a small sebae clown that was almost all black cause I couldn't resist, unfortunately I had to wait a week for the second. Didn't add them at the same time so they really don't like each other. But the first lived in one of my frogspawn for the first couple days(he even fed it pelts within the first half hour), then found the BT. The second went right to the BT, but was kicked out shortly there after. For the past 2 weeks he has been living in a gaint feather duster. He feeds it, which doesn't work well and he tries very hard, and he'll sleep in it. Couple mornings he has been sleeping on the tube. I'll have to get a pic and post it tomorrow.
