Ever since about two weeks after the frag swap at Ken's I've had this red fuzzy algea that is spreading. Any one know what this is?

Something that's feeding off of nutrients. Get the nutrients down and it'll go away.

try mexican turbo snails and keep check on nutrients with adequate skimming, circulation, live rock. also we've used rowa phos multiple times to help assist us in removing phosphate to effectively get rid of this algae and other algae issues like hair algae.

Oooo if its the evil red cottonball algae (looks like cotton in a way), that stuff is HORRIBLE. I couldn't get rid of mine until I moved my tank and scrubbed everything down.

I had some issues with this as well. I still have a tiny bit of it, but after using rowaphos for about a month it has gone away.

That red cotton ball stuf can be nasty. Rowaphos, mexicans, and the balanced environment described earlier are a good fix though.
