Okay, so I have been battling red slime algae all year. Earlier this week I dumped a bunch of copepods that I ordered online into the tank. Now, the slime is substantially reduced. But not gone completely. My guess is that the pods are eating the detritus that was fueling the slime growth. I have made NO other changes to the tank recently. My dsb is starting to look good again!

Because of how long the fight has been im assuming you have replaced your bulbs since its started. now I'm running leds and I learned that if my red or green spectrum were up to high my tank would break out in red slime and Dinos. Just a thought

I have been using Ecoxotic Panorama LEDs from the start...but some did burn out (like 25 years too early) because of overheating. That did mess up some of my corals. It may have caused the red slime problem...I don't know.
