That has been mostly with the 175's, now we'll see what happens with four 250 de's.....................

I guess 250 de's put out as much par as a regular 400. I would have to say they'll grow faster. Thing is though, I hear that 95% of SPS's energy\growth comes from feeding. What do you feed and how often? I've used DT's before but that's indirect feeding. Now I use liquidlife bio-plankton and coral plankton which feeds them indirectly and directly.

75, I think you may be right, I feed frequently,freezedried phyto,
phyto plex, and cyclopes.



Specialk..I am struggling to keep the calc at 420, running the reactor pretty hard and I top with kalk only, but have also been adding a capful of a and b along with stronium.

I forgot, I feed cyclopeez also. Thing is, I don't have enough flow for the SPS to catch the cyclopeez; it just goes right by for the most part. I've been working on the flow lately and noticed a good response. I still need to up it so they can feed better. I hope I get results like you are, very nice tank.

Buy a tunze, it will give you flow............

I'm trying to find a job so I can pay my bills and keep my apartment right now. A tunze is a nice thought for now but I'll get one eventually. For now, I modded my 3 maxi jet 1200's so the flow is more spread out and they change direction (thanks whoever posted that info here). It has helped the flow greatly but it's just not enough. I think a single (non-controlled) tunze will help break\disperse the flow alot better and that's what I'll do in due time.
