Sodium nitrate dosing ????

OK well I've been all over the Internet for the past couple days trying to figure this out I have superlow nitrates in my SPS tank ,barely detectable, so my plan is to dose daily sodium nitrate mixture In order to raise my nitrates and better my SPS color and growth !
Anyway i'm really struggling trying to do the math and figure out how much dry weight of sodium nitrate I need to add to the gallon of water and then how much I need to does each day !
My total system is 40 gal , anyone that has any experience with this please message me or feel free to chime in !

1/4 tsp with 423ml ro/di water. This will yield a solution of 1ml dosed = 1ppm of nitrate per gallon of water.

I dose a high concentration through a doser at 32ml/day where my solution is 1ml = 8ppm per 1 gallon
I have a quart size bag I just bought if you need any

I just read a 35 page thread on the topic... Have you been dosing?
No lol. I use all salifert test kits but I've always used API for my nitrate for some reason it incorrectly showed that I had zero when in fact it's was at about 75. My phosphates were super high as well. I put the sodium nitrate on the shelf and am vodka dosing

i just ordered the redsea pro nitrate test kit, last week I ordered the Hanna Phosphorus checker.
API does not show any nitrates... Everything I read... not very accurate. Right now my phosphates are around .08 according to my first checks.

What size tank are you dosing. How long have you been dosing.
Where do you keep your nitrate and phosphate levels at?

I have read that you really need to shake up bottle number#2
with that said... I never had any other color than yellow on API, that is the reason I ordered the red sea pro kit which has a pretty good following.
