Anyone here ever hear of these? I have looked into quite a few different search engines, and have come up will nothing! The closest thing I have found is called a zilla mushroom, and it looks similar to what I've seen. I figured due to limited time today, tap into the vast resource that is MI Reefers, and someone out there can help me here.....

Never seen or heard about it. Is those the ones that farms of the sea was selling as molted zilla's or godzillas? (Something like that) Very interested to see it.

That is the only thing I have found that resembles the one I have! The molted zilla and pizza-zilla look very similar to mine, thought the pizzazilla has more colors. mine is like a reddish-brown main color with underlying hues of green. Very pretty indeed, and the "spikes" are very strange as well. When it becomes fully aclimated, hopefully tomorrow it will open up, I will take some pix and post them ASAP!

Hey Canisson, been away for a while, just very busy these days.

Regarding the St. Thomas ricordea, yes, they do exist, very hard to find, and they are stunning. I've had several. I think I posted some on my TOTM. If you find them, buy as many as you can. They colors are stunning.

Well, I did buy one, and it's kinda plain in my humble opinion!! It has underlying greenish hues, with some reds and even a strange kinda blue that I've noticed. He is all aclimated today, open and happy, so as soon as my halides kick on in a bit, I will be taking pix and posting. I love it just for the unusual shapes. I am just hoping that it becomes as prolific as my yuma....we just found 5 more babies developing as "mama" is moving down the rocks. Hopefully at the next swap I may have 4 or so yumas to trade!!!
(Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the next swap...otherwise the fall/early winter swap will be chock full o' yumas!!!)
