Hi,

I noticed that a number of people have the large circular green sump vats in their basements.
I was just wondering where to buy these heavy duty things. I have just went through two rubbermade trash cans which did not hold up after two months. I think either the salt or the weight is eating away at the plastic bottom of the 50Gallon cans.
I live in Dearborn, MI, so I just curious if there a store fairly close...

Thank you,
Chromatic

my guess is the weight... thin-wall trash barrels just don't take much abuse!

another thought it a drinkable water barrel they sometimes have cheap at Sams club... they are designed to be filled with water and left full for the apoclypse )

I use a 60g Rubbermaid "Professional Plus" trash can that I keep about 50g or more of fresh water in all the time and a 35g Rubbermaid "Roughneck" that I keep about 30g of salt mix water in most all the time that I got from home depot. I've been using these two cans for over a year now and they're just like the day I bought them, no signs of them detoriating. I keep these cans as full as possible all the time so I have water ready when needed.
