I currently have a 90 gallon all coral (1 six line wrasse) tank and would like to add 1 coral safe calurpa eating tang. any suggestions?
I have only owned 1 tang before (sailfin) and he and all of my big fish succumbed to the blackout of 2003
thanks

I have a blonde Naso and think hes great. Has a ton of personality and likes to be "petted" every time I have my hand in th etank. He also likes to be hand fed. And it's cool to see a fish follow you around the room.

I don't know what others will say, but just my opinion.

A Naso gets way to big for a 90. If you took a piece of tape the size of each adult tang and wrote each fish on each piece of tape place it on your tank, that will tell you alot about a tang size.
A naso in a 90G that is 48Lx19wx24h will have 1" to turn around as an adult. A Naso adult size 15 - 18 inches, Hippo 8 - 12 inches.

If you are looking for a Tang that is coral safe, stays small enough to place in a 90, the only one I would recommend is the Blue or Yellow Eyed Kole Tang. The Kole is a good grazer on alage, will pick all day and gets 4-5 inches.
