does anyone know where i could purchase tank raised seahorses. i have checked all the sites i could find. oceanrider doesnt sell wholesale anymore so there went that supply. any help would be great.[-batman]

it is very very hard to get them. marinedepotlive.com and etropicals.com sells them but they have a hard time keeping them in. If you go to seahorse.org and look in the vender experiences you will see it is not wise to buy from ocean rider anyways.

I assume by tank-raised you mean CB? If you are looking for CB, be careful of vendors who claim they have tank-raised. These are generaly WC adults that are being raised in a tank.

Yep I'd recommend MDL. They have Abdominalis and I think Whitei in right now. I hear in a month they should have Erectus (hardiest of the seahorses besides dwarfs). Reidi won't be in till the end of the summer, but they're WC. (

thanx, we contacted marinedepotlive and they don't have any avail. wholesale. so i contacted one of their suppliers in austrailia and they have some and are just waiting from an order from marinedepot. i guess that there is some kind of agreement between them not to sell to petstores or something
