Mine was the first one in the tank and he is boss. A filefish can be passive but if picked on to much they can turn mean & nasty.
But they must have the tassles on them so my fish selection was done around this fish. They are slow growers and can grow to 12 inches, they eat meaty foods and greens and should be fed 3 times a day.
I have not had mine in with a yellow Tang but I do have him with a Pinktail Trigger, Bird Wrasses, Moorish Idol (seans), Hippo & Kole Tang.
