I just ordered a mag 3600 and a new dual PFO 400 watt for my 180. I plan on 2-250 watt 10K and 3-400 watt radiums!! Just kidding I am going with the 3 1-400 watt radiume and VHO!!

Neo, you should describe you whole setup. I would like to go with a 180 someday and I am curious as to how it is done.

Right now I have 1 400 watt ballast runnung a 20K on my 120. I love the color and the corals really respond to it also. I am going to use a submersible pump now. I had to put my mag 12 in the sump D/T broken ball valve. I have not noticed any heat transfer really. So I am dropping a mag 36 in for the next tank. I will have the return spit also. FOr the closed loop(s) I am going to use my current mag 18 and I am debating using the mag12 I have in my sump also. Still going to use my skimmer also. I am deciding on a sump configuration at this time also.

I'm right behind you! I thought I could just transfer my equipment to my new 120 gallon! Ha, No way! I bought 2/400 watt PFO's, chiller, pumps, heaters, refugium 65 watt PC, and just ordered a MyReef MR-2 skimmer. Basically buh-by tax return + some. But innit fun!?!?

Yes it is fun, When I get the new tank up I am going to sell the old one to help offset the cost. I needed a larger tank to hold more SPS and frags! 2 more feet will sure help out in that department.

Niiiiice tank. I moved out of the dorm and got a 75 (and got married, but like THATS important!) and I thought I was the SHIZNIT! Oh well....the larger tanks are in my future, I can see them clearly!!! (And MH....GOD, I want some MH so I can have SPS...)

Also am trading for another dual 400 watt ballast. That will put me up to 5-400 watt bulbs! I am not going to run them all at once of course, Just going to play with the two extra bulbs to see what effects I can get with limited super noon effect using 65K and 20K combo. Also because each has a seperate power cord I can start them out 30 minutes apart and getting a sunrise sunset effect I think. COmbined with a moon phase simulator of sorts.

how much are you getting the moon light things for? i can get them for $75 for ballasts and all but i wasent shure what the going price of them was.

oh ok. there ones simulate the moon cycles and everything. i think there led but it dosent give a good description. im gonna have to go on to their site to check them out for a full report.

i wanted to that also lol. i was thinking of putting them in the fuge. and letting their spawn get into the main tank. i cant put the directly into the tank because my snowflake will definately eat them.
