Today marks the 1 week mark since my tank has been up and running. 2 days ago I noticed I was getting brown algae all over on my live rock. I just shut my lights out at 9pm and noticed I am getting alot of that on my live sand as well. My water tests great.
PH 8.3, temp 77.7, Ammonia 0, Nitrite and Nitrate also at 0. Phosphate 0, KH 8 and calcium at 450. Do I need to get a CUC yet or just wait a while?

Congrats, I would just hold off, syphon off anything you can. If you can use a phosphate removing filter media like GFO (granular ferric oxide) that might be a good idea. I would keep running a good month personally before you add any animals.. ( I know I am crazy) Feed the tank a little and see if you get any ammonia or nitrate spike. Don't hurt to feed it. just not crazy too much.
