I've had my Copper Band Butterfly fish for about three years and it's been no problem in my reef with all kinds of corals, and a Squamosa clam. The clam has also been in tank for close to three years. Recently I got a blue Maxima and the CBB started taking nips at it.So I took a 2 liter pop bottle and cut the top half off to cover the clam for a while so the CBB would get use to the idea of not nipping at it for a while. It doesn't go after the Squamosa though, witch is a tan color, not as bright as the blue Max.(I don't know if that's the reason, but why else) So I was wondering who else may have problems with CBB fish and reefs, and clams in particular.

I've been contimplating a CBB for awhile but was told that they
are one of those fish(like my regal tang) that is reef safe for awhile and then after a year of two, eat corals or in your case clams. Sorry to hear someone else having this problem with fish. If you don't move him, he may kill your clam:( It only took a week for my regal to take out an 8in star polyp colony:mad:
