Oh Yes

I just added two MP40's to my 90 gallon sps frag tank along with Apollo LEDS. The way I see it is that it is one of the big three for Reefing.

1. Water chemistry/filter method
2. Light
3 FLow

Your corals will love the random strong current/waves, if you have sps they will grow in a more natural form, more symmetrical and thicker branches...of course you will have less clutter in the display as well, there will be power savings but not a huge factor

It's a great pump, a fine addition to most tanks (I have two of them). It's not a miracle worker though. Instead of will this really make that big of a difference in my tank ask what am I wanting from my tank that this will provide? When you can satisfy yourself that it's not a want simply for it's own sake but a legitimate purchase to advance your hobby and enjoyment then you stop looking for a 5 bill improvement in your tank.

Or, wait for the twenty people that say "Buy it, it's great, you won't regret it" and it's just another crack hit. Your call.

JMO of course. YMMV
I have been running one on my 90g mixed reef for a few months now im very happy with it i have been running nutrient transport mode.
+1 to on the spot.

In the event you decide to get one, look through the used equipment forum. They are frequently for sale at a decent markdown. I have 3, and am kicking myself for ever having paid full price. I did buy one used. No regrets.
