My ballast quit working this morning. One side of it just gets really, really hot and the ends of the lights just bairly start to light. I let it go for almost an hour before I just unplugged it.
The ballast came with the tank so I don't know what I need. It's running two VHO blues. This was written on the side of one of them. I hope it helps.

Their is two of them and they are 34 inches long.

Any help or recomendations for what to get?

if your VHOs where 36" then they would be around 95watt bulbs. Personally I like the icecap ballast. I run four of the 660s and have never had any trouble with them. You could probably use the icecap 430 since you are only using 190 watts (ringh? you are using 2 VHO actinic 34" bulbs). I won the 660 icecap ballast at the conference last weekend and will not be using is if you are interested you can PM me. Check out championlighting.com.
