Well today I move the 90 to make room for my wife's grandmother to stay with us after she gets out of the hospital. I'm a little nervous about it even though it's only going 25' to my living room. I'm changing my eco-syst. out for a 50 gal breeder that Will C. and I made a sump/fuge out of(Thanks Will!). Also I'm re-plumbing with flex tubing instead of pvc this time.

Well here goes nothing, I've been up since 630 going over every thing in my head and I think I have all my bases covered. Sped is coming over to help but if any other reefers have some time to spare today it would be great. I know it's short notice though. Give me a call and I can give you directions to Pinckney 517-404-2123.

Well gotta go get things set up for the move.
Thanks, Scott

I'd offer my services as well, but I am having some friends over today for a brunch/late Christmas.....a little late, I know. Anyway, i just moved my 29 without draining more than 3 gallons of water from it. i used those "moving men" type cushioned sliders. I HIGHLY doubt this would work for a 90g due to the weight, but you'll havce help, so you should do just fine! Good luck!

Thanks guys, well it took Sped and I about 8 hrs to get it moved!!
I had to remove some of the cc bed in the process though which I didn't want to do but it was just too heavy. I replaced my eco-syst. with a 50 breeder sump/fuge also and the main divider gave way before the main tank was even filled so I cut some pvc supports to wedge in and hold it for now.(works ok) The real pain in the butt was the couplers I had installed just below the bulk heads in the overflow area I have glued into pvc and I didn't want to buy new bulk heads so I thought if I bought new couplers and used the other (female) half to install on the new plumbing I could just screw them on and attatch the pump and call it good. BUT, the new ones I bought were a different size housing so they wouldn't thread on right. So off to the hardware stores we went. No luck!! One store had the exact same part#,manufacturer, skew#,size, and everything but it was still larger in size and wouldn't work. #@*#*@ So plan "B" was to run a return line up the back of the tank and in instead of using the bulk head in the overflow and just seal off that opening for now.

I added 40# of carib sea cc(sea floor grade) to my bed and used about 60# of south down in my fuge,I love the look!! We ran a power head in the sump for a while through some filter floss to help clear up the sand storm in the sump and it worked well. Most of my corals were opening up within and hour or so but I did break one of my sps colonies in the process so I gave it to Sped for all his help. Thanks again Sped, couldn't have done it without ya!

So the moral of the story is no matter how much pre-planning you do its never gonna be perfect!lol
By the time we got back from the hardware stores my blood pressure was maxed out and I decided it was michelob time, from there on out it's amazing how much less stressed out I was.lol

Thanks, Scott
