Have you tried a LOA (lights of america) coiled pc light. I bought a metal fixture from office max it has a clip on it for a desk.I did poke some holes in it to make sure the heat could escape I read on RC that the PC light doesnt last all that long maybe 3 months. but it probably needed to be replaced anyways. I put it on a timer for 12 hours opposite of my main lighting. Some leave it on 24/7. The one I got was from HD and they are the 75W 6500k lamp I think 7$. Really gives off a nice blue color actually.
