Interested in buying some sump colonizers.

Looking for:
Spaghetti worms
Micro Featherdusters
Chitons
Terbellid snails
Tunicates
Micro Brittle Stars
...What have you?

Let me know what you have. I work for Premium Aquatics, so I can offer trade as well.

I have a number of the micro feather dusters (white tubes with bright red dusters). Do you remove them from the rocks, or would you want to buy the rocks too? I usually have 2-3 open at a time, but I know there are more that are just hidden in the rocks. I see tubes all over the place, but I have no idea which ones are alive unless I see them open. Most of mine are on small rocks, so I don't mind selling them, but I couldn't tell you how many I have exactly because like I said, I usually only see 2-3. When I move rocks around I usually find more that open up when I place the rock differently, but again, I don't know which ones are alive, which are just empty tubes. I have one huge rock that has a TON of tubes underneath it, but I bought it this way and have always had the rock upside down, so when I go to turn it over they would all go back in their tubes, if they're even alive.

With the little ones like that, I'd just want a piece of little rubble with 2 or 3 tubes that open. If you find a very small piece that has several tubes on it, you could set it aside and check it a couple times to see if anyone is home. Over the course of a couple days you should get an idea if there are at least 2 or 3 on there. They'll reproduce once they're in-system... relocation tends to kick them into a propagation pattern.

I could bring you a nice replacement piece of rock for whatever you removed... We've got very nice stuff right now, covered in color. I could also get you some inverts if you want, or something you need for your system... LOTS of possibilities: www.premiumaquatics.com

I'll be in the GR area this weekend, so if you'd like to make a trade, let me know and I can pick up whatever from the shop before coming up.

I have micro brittle stars and colonista snails if they are of interest. Not sure where you're located. Not really looking to get anything for them but if you are happy to trade an astrea or two that would be welcome.

Edit: I just noticed you are on the west side. If you get over to Metro Detroit, let me know!

I'll be up in your area before too long, and I'm more than happy to make trades. Don't limit yourself... Look at the website and pick out some cleaners. Hermits? Tiny blue legs are algae killers. Red leg clean anything. Scarlet are Reef Safe even at larger sizes. Snails? Nerite have the most beautiful patterns and can get to areas the big guys can't. The Red Banded Trochus are like Astreas but hardier and with cooler shells and a stronger grip so you don't need to save them as often. Our tropical margarita snails have amazing coralline coverage and they survive in warm tanks, unlike the temperate ones. Need an Emerald crab? Or peppermint shrimp?

I'd love to get a real start of the micro brittles. I only have five or six, and they'll take a while to really establish even under perfect circumstances. Another dozen or more would push that ahead significantly. So I'm willing to make it worth your while, and I can get you whatever inverts you need from our livestock list.

Available Stock - check back often for updates

Austin -

Thanks for meeting me by the zoo on Saturday! I've already confirmed at least a half-dozen dusters on those rocks!

I hope the detour around the west side trying to pin down my location wasn't too frustrating, and that the corals are all opening up so you get an idea of the variety I managed to pull.

Let me know if you want to do any long distance shopping in the future - we have the awesome What You See Is What You Get section, and each shipment the nicest corals go onto the photo page. I come up there every few weeks, so if you saw something you liked we can set it aside for a delivery to save you overnight shipping on it. We don't really have fish pics yet, but I can definitely pick you the strong eaters if you shop the fish list. We have anything you'd need on dry goods as well - all sales tax free because you're out of state.

Anyway, thanks again, and I wanted to make your good deed public!

Hey, I have a bunch of chiton, tunicates (all over the wall of my sump so I probably have a rock with them on it), spaghetti worm, stomatella snails that reproduce like crazy, asterina starfish, and spaghetti worms that ill have to wait for to come out. Lmk if you'd like some, I'm located in 48126 Dearborn.

Everything but the asterina stars are exactly what I'm after. I have those coming out my ears. So tunicates, spaghetti worms, chitons and stomas! I'll take any you care to isolate and catch out for me! Now, have you thought about what you need? It's a big question, because our inventory is VAST.

I may do a combined meet with any of you east siders who want to swap on a specific day, and I can bring up anything needed then. Depending on how many things you want to collect up, I'll hook you up above and beyond with items you need. You can also place orders for things online and I can bring them up to the meet. No sales tax, and no shipping, same day delivery. Beat that!

Shoot me a PM with some things your system needs, live or dry, and I'll get back to you about some possible meeting times/places.

Look forward to diversifying my system and yours!

So far so good...

Thanks to Austin (lifeoffaith) for meeting me near the zoo for the swap. I now have two tanks beginning to colonize with the mini hard-tube red dusters!

Thanks to Mark (GTi) for leaving me the rock of micro-brittle stars and snails! I split that rock in half for both systems, and easily fifteen little stars came out. Fir every one you see, there's at least one you don't! - I'll have your trochus, margaritas, and those branch rocks sent to arrive the day after you're back!

Thanks to Rob in Muskegon for letting me shop your amazing tank - you're producing some truly WILD morphs of those zoas and palys. I've never seen some of the color combinations you're producing! Can't wait to visit again!

Thanks to Deric in Allendale for meeting up last trip - I hope to meet up again sometime! Your upstairs system had a bunch of really nice frags!

Anyone else want to get some trades in?I'll be coming up on Saturday morning, so we could set up a meeting point for a swap - like wherever the best LFS saltwater shop is at in your area, so I can shop there!

Let me know! If you prefer text, my number is 616-334-0577

Thanks for making it work out! I had been collecting stray mini brittle stars for a week and putting them in the container with that rock so I knew there were over a dozen. Sounds like you had a productive trip!

Mark - how's the rock? I found the branch-iest branches I could, from among the various pools. That Real Reef stuff is ridiculous, considering how dense it is, and the fact that it's still over $10/lb on sale! Can you imagine a whole tank of that? The 75gal in the office at the shop is completely stacked out with it! But, it has phenomenal color and things attach to it quickly, so it's great for zoas and whatnot.
