First and most important with the holidays coming up we want to ask everyone to be extremely careful and enjoy your holidays.
Michiganreefers.com is hosting a new contest this year and we hope that we can get as many members involved as possible. We want you all to understand that this contest is meant to be fun and for everyone so everyone can contribute. What we want to do is change our site logo and try to turn it into a more holiday (Winter,Christmas) season banner and we are looking for our members to come up with a neat design.
Currently our banner is 450x105pixels and about 21kb in size making it very fast to load for almost all connection types so one thing to remember is to keep the ratio as close to the current banner size.
Please note that when you submit your banner our system will only allow you to upload a maximum size of
200x200, which means you will have to resize the banner. Please make sure that you keep your original banner at 450x105 so that if you are the winner you can provide us with your original.
Our rules are pretty open, being this is suppose to be for everyone and fun we dont have many restrictions other then NO BAD LANGUAGE or SIGNS
Try and keep the banner images clear and easy to read.
Make sure it is winter/christmas related
You can post as many banners as you like (no member limit)
Keep in mind of copyright issues when creating banners & borrowing images
Please note that you do not have to use or markup our existing banner but if you choose to create an whole new banner please make sure that you include the MICHIGANREEFERS.COM text & its reef related with the holiday theme...
Use your imagination.
We will run this contest starting November 17th, 2006 and end it on November 30, 2006. The winner with the highest votes will qualify to have the banner displayed on our site for the entire month of December.
Please post all your banner images in our gallery located HERE
The banners will be rated by other members, so be fair and not rate your own banner. Upload one image per post, so that if you are posting multiple banners they can be rated individually. Voting will be enabled on December 1, 2006 which is the day after the last day to submit your banner.
Do not post images in this thread , as they will not be rated.
The winner of this contest will receive a $25 Gift Certificate with one of our site sponsors " The Coral Shoppe "
