The tank isn't going to cycle without an ammonia source. You should of put the shrimp in the first day, but it will start now.

Also, bristle worms were once considered a pest, but have been proven to be beneficial and good for eating the leftovers.

More than you could ever want to know about tank worms, but informative!

Important to note though that even though a bristle worm has red on it, doesn't make it a fire worm, And only one species eats corals and it's not commonly found in aquariums.

Also yes fireworms can sting you if you touch them, and some people take this as "bad must go" just dont touch the dang things! I have personally held onto the small ones tons of times and never felt a thing, but the big ones are probably different. I have fireworms in my tank that are over a foot long and a half inch wide, and they aren't the species that eats coral, so there is no reason to remove them, I have been told on mutiple accounts that I have the biggest bristle worms anyone has ever seen.... I take it as a compliment lol :)

I actually had my tank moved and the person told me they got rid of like 20 bristle/fire worms that were over a foot long, and i was pissed! They are great cleaners!!!!

FYI- ill take anyone's bristle worms that doesn't want them! Love those things!
