Give ot some time to see if it opens more. It is most likely a Euphyilla coral but until its polyps open all the way cant say which. You may have gotten one of the species that are not often seen in the US.

I will post more pics through the day as it opens up more. The big difference that i have noticed between my frogspawn and the "mystery coral" is that the body of has color not just the polyps. My frogspawn has a white body with colored heads. Its starting to open up more now so I'll be posting another pic in about an hr.

Yep branching hydnophora. I like those alot super bright green. Be careful putting it next to anything they are very aggressive.
