The two guys you'll see on the card are guys I know, one on the left worked at my LFS before I had to close it because it was brook into and $20,000 worth of equipment was stollen. And I was accused of insurance freud, fallowed by a PI for months and $1000s worth of attorny fees, finally was to much and had to close with much debet. After I started the BIZ with $10,000 only of my personal money, I just couldn't go on, cause at the time I couldn't figure out how I was not being profitable, I am betting know I know why!!

Its a shame that there are dirt bags like this out there in this world. At least the carma finaly caught up with them. I am a firm believer in what goes around comes around. ;)

You might try to get a hold of the police in the area that served the warrants and hope that thay found any of the stuff from when your shop was robed . You might even want to tell them the one dude worked for you and you where robed when he was working there. Its a shoot in the dark but might be worth a phone call. Maby thay had MH lighting still for the snakes or something (anything for that matter) if you could prove it was what was stoled from your shop.

I am so sorry! I understand your frustration. I gave my x-boyfriends brother
a job at my house building my pole barn. He came back a month later and broke into my house with a friend and stole two jewelry boxes which included
all the jewelry I owned. There were irreplaceable items which included things I had saved from my childhood as well as items I had saved from my sons.
The worst part was he took some of the last things I was saving from my dad, who died in 1984. Including the last picture ever taken of him alive.
I guess there are some people in this world have have absolutely no conscience or remorse for the things they do to others. The only suggestion
I have for you is to contact a lawyer and see if you have any grounds to sue
them for your pain and suffering and the loss of your business. You might also be able to go after the police department who hasseled and tormented you all those months. I know it will not give you your business back. But at least you might be able to get some of the money back you lost. I know they say what comes around goes around. Personally, I try to believe it. But even if you decide not to pursue a case against them. I would attend their trial. Maybe they could use you to testify against them?
At least that way you would be able to tell the court/world what they did to you, and how this affected you.

Good Luck!

Yeah one lady said she lost over $50,000 in reptiels and only got back $1500! The tucons were from Fla, I used to still talk to these guys and I rember them talking about making trips and stuf and know it is all coming together. I was always wondering how they could afford to go to Fla and sometime said they were going to BellIsle and to all these stores and Zoos!

Not to offend you at all XAMP because this type of stuff innocently gets over looked all the time but that is a pretty big tip off when an employee(s) of a pet store is flying to Florida etc. I sat through a few seminars on how to spot embezzlement type crimes my senior year in college and anytime someone starts living above their income level a red flag should go up. Also, you should always keep any eye on who opens the company mail. You would be astounded how many credit card offers show up that just require a phone call to activate or an employee with half a brain to request a card in your companies name. For instance, the first seminar I sat in on, the presenter was a former small business owner that had a secretary that embezzled over $500,000.00 in a matter of 4 months  No joke, this lady was buying new corvettes for her siblings on company credit cards... She got caught when she tried to buy a condo in Florida. Another big thing is when you catch someone red handed, report them otherwise they live to prey on others again... There are reputable companies that file this information for employers to look at.

I am really sorry these guys did such a horrible thing to you and I hope you help shut them down for good.

I think he is saying when I had my LFS it is hard to find good help that will not steal from you.
Not, not trusting me? I hope ya'll trust me! After everything I have been through in the past I am the last one to screw someone. I actually have gone out of my way to HELP a ton of people at my own cost! Which trust me if you ask my wife we definatly do not have extra $$ to through around!

I still keep thinking MAN, if only I had not hired that guy would I still be in Biz doing well and supporting my fam and everything would be happy and not stressful like it is these day just scratching to get by!!

could always start something out of your basement like you have now, open an online business, sell on there, here, and ebay, and as you grow, save some cash till you can afford a store again. Just some food....

I know I appreciate your generocity and friendly attitude, hell my buddy who's in Japan was talking to me the other night and I told him, HEY we need to go to this guys house, he's awesome! Just brings more business for you and $$ to hopefully break even at this point or make a few bucks.

Some day man..... I love the hobby and the people to much to start my own again I think? The ##s and the accounting is my biggest issue? It takes all the fun out of the hobby.

Yeah that is the problem, when I did it there was not enough profit envolved in a LFS for me to afford to have someone do the books? But I would work for one in heart beat these day.
