A friend of mine just took her tank down. She gave me about 100 lbs of rock complete with lots of hair algae (yuck) and all of her fish.

I have a banded snake eel - (is this thing reef safe?) it gives me the creaps
yellow tang about 4 to 5"
sailfin tang about 5 to 6"
koran angel about 5"
clownfish about 3"

and two others that I have yet to identify.

Can anyone tell me if the banded snake eel is reef safe? I have all of them in quartine until I can figure out what to do with them and what I want to keep and what I don't.

He is most likely coral safe from that standpoint, but and invertibrates such as shrimp I would say will be dinner. May also eat small fish if it can catch them, most snake eels I have seen will not eat fish but depending on the size of the eel/fish I wouldn't trust him. Post a pic if you can...
