First off let me say thanks again to Chad, for having us out to your house, and all the good info you gave out.

Then, let me say that Chads 1 button water change set up is awesome!!!!:D Makes me very jealous. Your whole system is something to strive for!!! Great bunch of guys, great info on rock building, and overall a fun time...

And a thank you goes out to Chad, Pruess, Choice, and Moby Dicks for the free frags.

Thanks BeakerBob for the band saw demo, now I want one.-devil

P.S. You will see me as a new member of MASM very soon...

All I hope is that people learn something and enjoy themselves.
You did that with flying colors!!!!

Just pulled out the DIY Rock and it looks very good, much better than my first attempt. Its a little brittle, may need more curing time, but it is very porous. I will be posting some pics tomorrow, (forgot camera today)

Ahh yes, fun times to be had by all!

Thanks again for having me out. I was a little disappointed in your"one button water change". I cannot believe you have to MANUALLY add salt each time...sheesh. :D

Very nice setup and house my friend. Reading reminds me of towns in Indiana I grew up in.

Yes, learned a ton! Will look forward to making many new rocks soon.

Side note on the food. Someone had brought Sushi. I overheard someone say the "hot" sauce for them was on the left with the milder stuff on the right. After trying the "hot" stuff, and found it no big deal, decided to try a generous helping of the "mild".

WOAH! Started looking around for any beverage I could find to wash the molten wasabi out of my sinuses.....no I didn't slam down the 2-liter of lemonade ........but I was thinking about it at the time -speechles
Taste buds beginning to return to normal....

Thanks Chad, and Thanks MASM!

You should let that Cure for about a good week to harden up.. If you used salt to make your tunnels and stuff you can go ahead and just run it up under water since you already pulled it out and rinse that out. Then set it back in the sand mold and let it harden till at least Friday. It really takes up to 28 or so days for the cement to reach it's full strength.

But I do expect to see pictures this next weekend!

Chad, what kind of fish are these? I know they are some sort of Anthias fish. I would like to have some for my tank, so where did you get these also? How many of these did you have in your tank?

Pictures of my rocks are coming soon:D

It was great seeing familiar faces, and meeting new people! We're glad everyone had fun and learned something. Chad did a great job on the demo! Got my sinuses cleaned out by BeakerBob's wassabi sauce too, couldn't stop eating it though, sooooo good!!

A little brittle where i used salt to make voids.. but i think they would turn out way better with no salt at all.. the mixture seemed pretty good.. i think this summer i plan on making 2-300 lbs....
