So I have a 75g and would like a cleaning crew. My Regal Tang has some white spots on it, but it is very active and eating well.

Unfortunately I have a Harlequin Tusk and he ate every invertibrate in the tank. Would a Wrasse clean the tang up from time to time? What else could I put in there that would act as a cleaner shrimp?

Sounds like Ick to me...no picture so hard to tell...could also be a micro bubble or two stuck to the slime coat like i get but a picture would help a lot. Feed garlic to ur fish boots immune system and can kick ick if its in a mild stage.

As for a clean up crew i have a few turbos...a sand sifting star and a sea cuc (who does an amazing job keeping the sand clean) I do not favor any hermits or crabs in a reef tank...they cause to may problems and always eat eachother/my snails if they decide they dont want to eat algae anymore

no the wrasse wouldnt, I got lucky and my tusk never touchs my snails.. :) probably cause i feed him like crazy.:victory:

Take the regal out and QT him if you can catch him.
Yeah he hasn't touched any snails yet either. I put a couple emerald crabs in there as well, but haven't seen them in a week. I fear the worst......oh well.

Tangs are notorious for getting ich, so that's probably what it is, but again without pics its hard to tell. Even if you can catch the tang, its in your tank now and most likely only a matter of time before the rest of them catch it. If they do, you just learned a tough lesson about the importance of quaranteening:(

Try to get a pic so we can help you rid your tank of it if it is in fact ich.

Will do!! Thanks for the help.

He can't do cleaner shrimp with the Tusk fish. Also, cleaner shrimp may help with ich they will not clean all fish, and they only help, they won't eliminate the problem unfortunately:( Certainly a better choice for an ich treatment than cleaner wrasses, but in a tank with a tusk fish it won't last.

No more white spots

He is looking fine now. No white spots and eating fine. The tank cycled last weekend after the move and some slime algae broke out. So that could have explained some added stress. Now everyone is fine and eating well. Added some corals this week and they look great!
