I'm kinda concerned about my anemone. I recently posted about recieving this Haddoni carpet from a seller on aquabid who failed to ship it without a heat pack. I figured it was dead, but two weeks later it's still responsive, as is its hosting clarkii. My concern lies in that it hasn't really opened up like other pictures I've seen. It only moved around a short time, and hasn't moved a for few days. Should I move it into an area with higher flow? it isn't firmly attached to the substrate.

I've read that haddonis prefer sand to attach to, but I've got crushed coral in there and am not sure I want to attempt to redo it in sand yet. That sounds like a real pain in the *** without an extra tank to house stuff in yet. (The 70 gallon is a few months away from being ready for anything.)

Pics now, water parameters later.

And thanks to mc8117 and archer772 for the frags and the wealth of information. Here's a picture of that oyster I saved from being eaten.

sometimes the host anemone can be irritated by the clownfish and won't "settle" as quickly in the tank. yours looks good via the pics, if you can remove the clown for some time. you may see it get comfortable quite quickly.

My initial advice would be not to mess with things. Give it a few more weeks and see what happens. If the anemone stopped moving around, it is more than likely content with where it's at. If you move it, it may decide to go walkabout on you again....

It looks healthy, but it wont attach in crushed coral. The clowns are fine, or it wouldn't be opening up.
Try using a container about as big around as the foot, and about 3-4" tall, and place the foot of the anemone in that. Make sure its safe, ceramic or glass, with a smooth upper edge. I used one of those old brown ceramic cheese crocks.
Mine was happy in that for a long time, till he outgrew it.
The one I used was like this(minus the lid and wire)
