I am planning a new tank (24 inch cube) and I want to build a sump on the back of the tank (and I am considering a RCSD for inside the tank) so I need some ¼ glass. I would also consider 3/8 if someone has a break I can use.

So if any one has some lying around or can get a good price please let me know.
I'm willing to do cash or trade!

You might try a glass company like Henderson Glass (many locations in the Detroit area). I had a project that required a irregular small piece of 1/4 inch glass and they gave it to me for free. It was piece of a break.

Home depot sells glass, that's where I got mine for my sump.

Keven, I priced it out at Henderson and the project would run like $70.

I was hoping someone had some old tanks or partial tanks, or spare glass they wanted to get rid of cheap.

Its amazing, but small tanks are cheaper than you can buy the glass to make them with!

75g, Does HD sell 1/4? All I've ever seen there (not that I have looked reciently) is 1/8.

could you look at the zeovit reactr and see if you can build that? I will also see if I have a few old tanks.

I guess HD carries 1\8th inch but I really don't know, call and ask. Whatever size it is, I used it and it worked just fine. If your worried about it breaking, don't. I had to break the glass I had in there before and I needed a hammer to do it, the same glass. I think I paid $10.

Tim, I have an old 90g in my garage that was given to me a year or so ago. It has no cracks in it, but I am unsure of the structural integrity of the seals and silicone due to time and elements. I am sure it could be re-siliconed and would be a perfectly functional tank.....or it could be chopped up into bite size pieces and made into a sump?! Let me know if you'd be interested and if so, what you are offering as trade. It is just taking up space in my garage and I'm tired of moving it around!!

Rob, How thick is the glass on that 90? If its 1/4 I would be interested, but I am thinking most 90s are 3/8.
