I set up my new aquapod and my fish are dying. The ammonia was at 1ppm for a few days. Done water changes, and came down to .25. Last night my tang turned brown on the gills and was laying on the bottom of the tank.
-sign of high Nitrite.
We put our fish in another ank, and today they look and act normal again.
We tested our nitrite in the new set-up and it's at .50. So we are going to keep our fish from this tank until all water chemicals are back to normal.
Could this spike in Ammonia and Nitrite be a result of the tank cycling out again? We used the original live rock and 50% water from old tank. BUT, put all new LIVE sand in this tank.. -Maybe this is making the tank recycle?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thank you, Thank you,
