Uh, Why? 4 of mine are on an IceCap 660, with a fifth used just as actinic, that is on a workhorse 5.

About 12 months, just like my halides were. I added a fan, from Walmart, a 6" fan that I bought for $5. This keeps the bulbs cool enough, and saves me the 2 extra bulbs. (6 bulbs to equal the wattage of 4 OD bulbs.)

On a standard 120, you will have 6 more inches of width to play with, to me that translates into to 1 more bulb. If I ever change into a 120, then I would add another actinic on a the Workhorse 5 Ballast, that would still give me 4 OD bulbs, and 2 "regular" 54W ones.

As for bulb choice, there are so many options it is ridiculous. Currently I have all Geismann bulbs and I like the result. I am thinking of trying some of the new Fauna Marin bulbs though in Feb, when it is time to replace some of my current bulbs.

I think I have these bulbs in place right now:
2x "True Actinic"
2x Aquablue + (These are really a 11 or 12K WHITE bulb.)
1 Actinic Plus
