very nice.

did you run the stock return pump before upgrading to the mj1200?

i was wondering if you noticed a difference in noise or tank temp.

also if it's any more powerful then the stocker.

i'm pretty happy with the flow of the stock pump/Koralia1 combo but i've read the mj is quiter and produces less heat.

I did run the stock pump just for testing, only to find out that it was broke. The little metal pin that holds the mag wheel in place rusted and broke in half. So my stock pump was pretty loud to start with. I did some research and found that people said if you were worried about temp try the mj900, apparently it has almost the same flow and less temp. But I was not to worried about temp and just wanted the most flow I could get.

The stock pump is rated at 290gph and the mj1200 is 295, so not much different.

I am thinking about putting in another return pump like the 28g Nano and removing my koralia nano.

What a great micro setup! I live in an apt and had trouble finding space for mine. I hope I didn't go too big! I really like yours and it's next to the TV so you can multitask!. I'm having trouble watching TV, the fish are much more interesting (w/the exception of UFC)...sometimes my coral bandit shrimp thinks he's mike tyson and goes after my skunk shrimp

blackbox: thanks for the compliment:). I find it hard to decide what one I want to watch all the time, it will probably get harder as I add more to the tank.

I ordered the nanotuners actinic upgrade for my hood, so now I can do sunrise and sunset. It will be here Monday, Ill post pics putting it in. I am also thinking of changing the bulb, the stock JBJ one kind of *****. I want some better color.

New Toy!!

Here is my new toy I got this week, I have been trying to figure out what mode I like the best. So far I am using Reef Crest Mode and seem to like that.

I joined the MMMC this weekend and went to A&M and Preuss for a tour. I met some very nice people and look forward to being a member.
