The thing we are going to use is made by porter cable I think or Delta LOL.

Noise atthins point doesnt bother me, I went deaf securing teh base boards down with that power nailer thing and the .22cal shells LOL

When at Home Depot the other day I saw a new drywall mud that's supposed to help cut down on the dust. I've not actually used it myself but thought I'd mention it. Oh, and yes it costs more that the regular mud. I'll probably try some when I get to that point on my basement but I'm a little ways from there.

I've used the sanding hose, bucket and shop vac thing you can buy at home depot and it does help.

Dont you have a job? Or something? It seems like you get so much done that you wouldnt have time for anything else :p

Wow, you work pretty efficiently then, and multi taks better than Microsoft :p

I'm enjoying seeing this come together, and cant imagine how antsy you all are getting to add water to it and get it rolling. I know I'm looking forward to seeing those ceramic walls in the tank!

Home depot rents a power drywall sander that uses a strong vacuum and a rotating sanding head. The vacuum actually holds the head to the wall as the disc spins. It works very fast and keeps the dust to a minimum. I sanded a 1500 sq. ft basement in around 4 hours with only minimal touch up. The rental fee wasn't too bead either when you think of the elbow grease you can save. Plus the reduction in drywall dust flying around.

Well I am glad teh ceiling and soffits aren't completely covered now :D

While mudding the srews tonight it came to me, "Mike you forgot to run the R/O DI line in to the utility room!!!!!" Luckily I can fish it through the opening above the door from teh closet it is in and into the room still so I will be doing that this Friday before I hang another piece of drywall. The problem is I have no drain in that room and no way to run a PVC pipe to the main drain because of the laws of gravity as they pertain to draining water needing to go at a slight decline

I am just glad I caught this before I closed things up completely. I do not want to lug 270 gallons of water over there to fill it :p

Even with all the forethought in the world, its possible to miss things. Fortunately this one is pretty easy to fix.

This is why I am not rushing :D because I have these moments when I forget I was supposed to do something.

When I plumb this thing I am going to attempt to trust simplicity of design as a guide and just keep the joints to a minimum to reduce teh risk fro leaks on the fresh water test.

You do realize that your ÂĽ" RO/DI line will form condensation & sweat just like your main cold water supply lines!

I would if you can find something that will work!
My RO/DI line runs about 12’ across the floor joists in my basement & I do get a little condensation from it! However that’s in the laundry room that’s unfinished so it’s not a problem.

Looks like I will be back to drywall tommorow and my new door came in for the fishroom. I took the 15 light door back an got a pre-hung glass door in Lansing :D for about 20.00 less at Menards. Really nice looking.

I hope to be able to get this knocked out tommorw and then start tapping and mud..........
